Keliey, Tipton Obituario a CARRIE D. THURSTON Carrie D. Thurston Howard, a 100- year old Tipton County, resident, died Tuesday afternoon at the home of her daughter Mrs. Sarah McCorkle, Rt. 4, Tipton, she had been ill for several years.

Mrs Howard was born in Shelby Co. on Jan. 26, 1877 and was the daughter of Peter W. and Sarah Ann Thurston. She married Thomas Howard in 1892 who preceded her in death in 1944.

Mrs. Howard was a housewife and mother of 11 children. She is survived by two sons, Glenn Howard of Elwood, and Robert Howard of St. Mary's, four daughters, Mrs. Sarah McCorkle and Mrs.

Fern Jackson, of Tipton, Mrs. Ruth Garza and Mrs. Pansy Butler both of Arcadia, one sister, Mrs. Laura Collingwood of Atlanta; 29 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Funeral services will beheld at the Mitchell Funeral Home on Friday at 2 p.m.

with the Rev. Marion McFarland officiating. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery. Friends may -call at. the funeral home after.
