Woman killed, child hurt in bus accident SOUTH BEND, Ind. (AP) A woman was killed and her great-granddaughter was seriously hurt when they were struck by a bus at a South Bend city bus terminal. Elizabeth Williams, 51, and the 5-year-old child were waiting for a bus Thursday afternoon when the bus lurched forward, drove onto a pedestrian island, sideswiped another bus and ran over them, police said. Williams was killed instantly. Her great-granddaughter was airlifted to the University of Chicago-Wyler Children's Hospital in critical condition.
