She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar D. and Rena Mae (Hughes) Tubbs; her husband, Ralph C. Arbuckle, who died March 29, 1977; and two brothers, Cedric Tubbs and Bryan and wife, Delores Tubbs.

Condolences can be made at: www.dovesharpprudicel.com Martha J. Arbuckle Martha J. Arbuckle, 93, a lifelong resident of Elwood, died April 16, 2010 at Community Hospital i in Anderson after an extended illness. She was born July 10, 1916 in Elwood. She was a 1934 graduate of Elwood High School.

She married Ralph C. Arbuckle July 12, 1940. She worked at Guide Lamp in Anderson for five years and later worked at R.L. Leeson Department Store for several years. She was also a homemaker.

She was a devoted member of the Grace United Methodist Church where she was active in the United Methodist Women. She was also formerly a member of the Wilma J. Cole NORTH VERNON Wilma J. Cole, 88, of North Vernon, died Friday, April 16, 2010 at Jennings Health Care Center in North Vernon. She was born Oct.

25. 1921 in Elwood, the daughter of Howard and Anna Mae Stansberry Beeman. She married John R. Cole March 14, 2002. He preceded her in death Dec.

29, 2006. She retired from the Foster Grandparent Program after 14 years. She had previously worked as a nurse's aide as a private duty caregiver for six years, Columbus Regional Hospital for five years and Greensburg Hospital for four years. She was a member of Pleasant View United Methodist Church in Jennings County. She was born Oct. 17, 1928 in Hagerstown, the daughter of James E. and Minnie (McDaniel) 13 001 0 I6 65H1 Willis. She worked at Gwinns Drug Store in Anderson and retired from Guide Lamp, formerly of Anderson after 23 years employment. She was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary and UAW Local 663.
