Randall said Hamilton County authorities are awaiting a toxicology report on Sullivan. FIVE DROWN DURING HOLIDAY WEEKEND A 13-year-old Evansville boy apparently drowned as he and his brother tried to swim from a dam to a boat at Lincoln State Park, officials said. Authorities said five people drowned in separate Indiana accidents during the Fourth of July weekend. Sgt.

Ron Magill of the Indiana Department of Natural Resources said two conservation service divers searched for Casey Folz of Evansville, who was missing and feared drowned Monday night. Police said Casey and his brother, Tracy, 14, were trying to swim from the dam to a boat about 75 feet from the dam at the park's 55-acre lake in northeastern Spencer County. Police said Tracy made it to the boat but his brother went under. A passing fisherman notified the lifeguard. The Department of Natural Resources says Cindy Baker, 7, of New Castle, drowned Sunday while swimming at Lakewood campground in Henry County while swimming with neighbors.

State conservation officials said a young boy, whose age and name were not released, drowned Monday morning at Deam Lake State Recreation Area in Clark County. They said three boys were in a boat when one jumped into the water. He had trouble keeping afloat; and the others couldn't reach him, officials said. Morgan County officials searched in Lake Melissa Monday for the body of a boy who disappeared while swimming with friends Sunday night. A dispatcher said they lost sight of him.

TPD INVESTIGATES ACCIDENT A Tipton Police Department officer investigated an accident which occurred about 8:25 p.m. Sunday in the 100 block of East Jefferson Street near Court Street. According to a report, motorist Fred L. Borden, 52, Cicero Heights, Tipton, was eastbound on Jefferson, when he began making a right turn onto Court.

Borden apparently missed his turn and was involved in a collision with a parked vehicle, registered to Rickie L. Strong, no age available, 411 Sweetland Ave. Borden was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated. He was placed in the Tipton County Jail, and is being held in lieu of $1,000 bond. TPD ARRESTS A Tipton Police Department officer arrested Richard 18, Elwood, early Sunday morning, and charged him with resisting law enforcement.

Dean was placed in the Tipton County Jail and later released after posting $7,500 bond. In a separate matter, a TPD officer arrested Peter C. Altherr, 23, ONE INJURED A Noblesville woman suffered a broken leg in a two-car mishap that occurred on Ind. 128 near the Tipton, Hamilton, Madison county lines at 10:10 p.m. Monday.

Jill Hughes, 21, Noblesville, was transported to Ball Memorial Hospital for treatment for the broken leg. She was a passenger in a car driven by Barry Moody, Noblesville, that reportedly ran a stop sign and was struck broadside by a vehicle driven by Christopher Israel, 2733 N. Elwood. Moody was cited for failure to yield the right of way. Israel and three passengers in his car were taken to Mercy Hospital where they were treated and released.

They are Mary T. White, 19, 1621 S. Sheridan Jeff G. Alvey, 11, 1621 S. Sheridan and Trevor Israel, 9, 2733 N.

ELWOOD POLICE Several reports of people setting off fireworks were received by Elwood police Monday evening, but most reportedly were acting respon sibly, other reports indicate. Only two fires were reported to the Elwood Fire Department during the past weekend. Elwood police are continuing their investigation into a personal injury mishap at the T-way Plaza Sunday night.

Robert Barr, 15, 1331 Madison Road, Elwood, and Merilee Garner, 9, Rt. 3, Elwood, were taken from that location in the Elwood Fire Department ambulance to Mercy Hospital at 10 p.m. Accident reports by Elwood police have not yet been completed. The drivers of the vehicles involved reportedly were Jeanne Armstrong and Thomas Smith. Six juveniles were arrested by Elwood police during the holiday weekend, including three in connection with the Linder's Burger Dairy store break-in reported Thursday.

A 10-year-old male and a 15-year-old Elwood male were arrested and charged with receiving stolen property from the June 30 burglary. An 11-year-old Muncie male was arrested and charged with the Linder's burglary and theft. The He retired in 1981 as a truck driver. Survivors include his mother, Nora Jane Crabtree, Livingston, his wife, Elizabeth; five sons, Oscar Brown Tom A. Brown and Leroy Brown, all of Alexandria; Ronnie E.

Brown of Anderson and Bob J. Brown, of Longwood, four daughters, Jessie Deck of Milford, Maine; Kathryn Smith, East Point, Georgia; Carolyn Knopp of Alexandria and Ann Flatford of Andersonville, a half-brother, Roscoe E. Crabtree, Livingston; 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Noffze Funeral Home in Alexandria.

Rev. Gary Lovens will officiate. Burial will be in the Vinson Memorial Park Cemetery in Summitville. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.

today. BILLY SULLIVAN Billy Sullivan, 34, 130 Maple was found dead in Hamilton County's Morse Reservoir Saturday. He was born Oct. 16, 1953, in Tipton County, the son of Joe T. and Beulah (Phillips) Sullivan.

Both parents survive; the father resides in Tennessee and the mother in Tipton. He was married April 7, 1980 to Delora Boes, who survives. He was employed by Woods Wire. Also surviving are children Man-dy, Holly, Misty, and Heidi, all at home; siblings Ronnie, Donnie, and Lonnie Joe, all of Tennessee, and Bobby, of Tipton; and a half-sister, Joyce Green of Florida. Services will be 10 a.m.

Wednesday at Porter Funeral Home, with Bill Salsberry officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home until 4 and from 6 until 8 p.m. today. THELMA M.

ESSIG Thelma Marie Essig, 81, Arcadia, died Saturday at the Tipton County Memorial Hospital. She was born Dec. 11, 1906, in Hamilton County, the daughter of William M. and Ina (Rulon) Carson. She married Garland F.

Essig on June 18, 192S. He died May 5, 1972. A housewife, she had lived in Hamilton County most of her life. She was a member of the Omega Christian Church and tbe ladies aid society of tbe church. Surviving are one daughter, Marieta A.

Love of McClain, three sons, Donald E. Essig of Tipton, Leon K. Essig of Arcadia, and Allen G. Essig of Indianapolis; 'a brother, Leland G. Carson of Atlanta 10 grandchildren and eight greatgrandchildren.

Monday and charged with delinquency for being a runaway. Complaints about fireworks being set off were registered during the past weekend. One was reported at 1:12 a.m. today in the 1000 block of N. 11th St.

Others were reported on Monday at 9:44 p.m. in the 100 block of S. at 9:39 p.m. at First and South A streets; at 9:08 p.m. at South and 28th streets; at 9:06 p.m.

A bicycle belonging to Chris Klein- bub, 1330 N. was reported stolen from the racks at the Elwood city swimming pool at 6:30 p.m. Sunday. The theft reportedly occurred between 2: 30 and 6 p.m. Two tires to a vehicle belonging to the vehicle of Lisa Whitman, 820 S.

A reportedly were slit between 10 p.m. Saturday and 5:41 a.m. Sunday. The tires were valued at $70 each. The vehicle was parked in front of the Whitman residence.

Elwood police assisted the Madison County Police at the scene of an accident reported at 2:15 a.m. Sunday about 1V4 miles south of Ind. 13 on Ind. 37. An accident report has not yet been filed.

A purse containing approximately $198 and a quart and a pint of whiskey was reported as stolen at 11:12 p.m. Saturday from Norma Parson, 2713 N. St. The purse had been in the victim's bedroom. Two minors were arrested at 22nd and South streets for illegal consumption by a minor at 11:11 p.m.

Saturday, following a two-car mishap at the Whistle Stop package liquor store at 1933 Main St. Linda Jo Metz, 19, 2315 Main in addition, was charged with driving while intoxicated with a blood-alcohol content of .16 percent and for having no operator's license. Metz reportedly backed the vehicle she was driving into another driven by David Turner, 40, Bloomfield at the liquor store and then reportedly left the scene. Jennifer Lee Taylor, 18, Rt. 1, Box 171, Elwood, was charged with illegal consumpton.

Metz was released on $1,500 bond. Taylor was release on $650 bond. Both are to appear in Elwood City Court. Elwood police warned 15 motorists and cited nine others for traffic violations while working overtime traffic enforcement, according to reports filed Saturday. A burglary is under investigation the Kentucky Fried Chicken store, 2000 Main which was reported at 10:52 a.m.

Saturday. The break-in reportedly occurred between 10:45 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. Saturday. The drive-up window the business reportedly was pried open to gain entry.

He retired in 1978 from Conrail after 37 years service. Survivors include, two sons, James R. Semon and Larry D. Semon, both of Alexandria; two brothers, Clifford Semon and Roy Semon, both of Alexandria; two sisters, Rose Laster of Elwood and Melvina Dusal of Louisville, Kentucky; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge in Alexandria.

Private graveside rites will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Park View Cemetery in Alexandria. Arrangements were handled by the Noffze Funeral Home in Alexandria. GLEN O.SANDERS Glen O. Sanders, 1821 Linburg Rolling Hills Nursing Home, Anderson, died July 1.

He retired in 1981 from the Anderson Park Department. Survivors include one daughter, Peggy Brown of Ft: Wayne, four grandchildren and three greatgrandchildren. Graveside rites were at 2 p.m. today at the East Maple Wood Cemetery in Anderson. Arrangements were handled by the Noffze Funeral Home in Alexandria.

OSCAR Q.BROWN Oscar Q. (Brownie) Brown, Rt. 3, Alexandria, died July 2 following an extended illness. for a zoning exception for Regina Jackey, 2809 S. A who plans to operate a beauty shop in her home.

Building commissioner Allan Smith said the board may also discuss a pole building being built by Don Stephens in the 900 block of N. 13th Street. Stephens was granted a permit in May 1968 to build a garage, but instead has begun the construction of a pole building which is higher than city height regulations allow. Smith said his office has received complaints about toe building from neighbors in the area. Tbe meeting is open to the public.

RALPH O. ROBISON Ralph O. Robison, 73, 1200 S. I died Friday at home. Born July 9, 1914, In Elwood, he was the son of Chester A.

and Gerna (Nelspn) Robison. He retired from Fisher Guide in Anderson, and was a member of the First Baptist Church. He was a veteran of World War II. Surviving are two sisters, Mary Borden of Holicong, and Inez Grimes of Elwood, and two brothers, William H. Robison of Elwood and Merrill Robison of Peru.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Copher and Fesler Funeral Home with the Rev. Ed Finley officiating. Burial will be in Elwood City Cemetery. Friends may call today from 3 to 8 p.m.

at the funeral home. VERDIE O. BAKER Verdie O. Baker, 91, Madison, died Friday at the King's Daughters Hospital in Madison. She was born January 2, 1897, in Owentbn, and was the daughter of William and Rosalyn (Keith) Osborne.

She retired from Delcb-Remy in Anderson, and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Elwood. She is survived by her husband, Raymond Baker of Madison; a daughter, Lucille Kane of Florida; a son, Allen Willhoite of Elwood; three sisters, Margaret McPherson of Frankfort, Elizabeth Black of Covington, and Rosella Davis of Elvood; two brothers, Frank Osborne of Covington, and Bryant 'Osborne of Owenton, four grandchildren; and one greatgrandchild. She was preceded in death By her first husband, Clarence Willhoite, in 1967. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Vail-Holt Funeral Home in Madison.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Elwood. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
