Farr Lillian Doris Farr, 87, Elwood, died Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2003, at Community Parkview Care Center in Elwood, after an extended illness. She was born Aug. 16, 1916, in Alexandria, the daughter of Robert Edward and Callie (Funk) Ellis.

She is survived by seven children, Patricia and husband Terry Laster of Elwood, Victor E. and wife Pam Farr of Dungannon, Barbara K. Clark of Elwood, Carolyn S. Haynes of Elwood. Rosalie and husband David Hancock of Elwood.

Thomas C. and wife Kathy Farr of Greentown, and Joyce M. and husband Alan Rybecki of Elwood; two sisters, Catherine Jackson, and Dolly and husband Jim Dial, both of Elwood; four brothers, Joe and wife Janie Ellis of Alexandria, David Ellis of Anderson, Carl Ellis of Lapel, and Chet and wife Anna Mae Ellis of Swayzee; 14 grandchildren, Robert Laster and Valeria Laster both of Elwood, Wendy Courtney of Anderson, Shane and wife Tammy Farr of Elwood, Dawn and husband David Halsell of Anderson, Jennifer and husband Billy Hawes of Elwood, Brian and wife Sharon Haynes of Elwood, Kevin and wife Paula Haynes of Elwood, David Hancock of Elwood, Greg and wife Andrea Hancock of Elwood, Amanda Farr of Greentown, Carrie Farr of Greentown, Jacob Rybecki of Elwood, and Raymond Rybecki of Elwood; 16 great-grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, 13 stepgreat-grandchildren, 13 stepgreat-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Raymond Farr, whom she married Dec. 26.

1939 and who died July 26, 1970; one son, James Edward Farr; a brother, John Ellis; and a step-daughter, Wanda Stage. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home in Elwood. The Rev. David Mygrant will officiate.

Dowler, 74, Elwood, died Thursday at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. Arrangements are pending at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home. Lawrence E. Ragan SHARPSVILLE Lawrence Edward Ragan, 77, 245 East Meridian Street, Sharpsville, died at 2:22 p.m.

Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2003 at Tipton County Memorial Hospital. He was born April 27, 1926 in Tipton County, the son of Thomas L. and Opal M. (Shope) Ragan.

He married Rosemary E. Lipp Sept. 25, 1949, in Frankfort. He worked for P.R. Mallory Co.

in Frankfort for 20 years, and Chrysler Corporation of Kokomo for 20 years. He was a tool and die maker. He attended Prairie Township schools. He was a member of the Moose Lodge of Frankfort, the UAW Local of Kokomo, and attended Heartland Ministeries Church. Survivors include his wife; one son, Stan A.

Ragan of Jerome; one daughter, Cheryl L. Rockhill of Lafayette; two sisters, Wanda Rush and Maude Ragan, both of Kokomo; one brother, Carl Robert Ragan of Atlanta; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Darrell K. Ragan in January 1989, and two brothers. Services will be at 2 p.m.

Sunday, at Heartland Ministeries Church, 350 N. and State Road 19, Sharpsville. Dr. William D. Salsbery will officiate.

Phipps ANDERSON David R. Phipps, 48, 5075 State Road 9 North, Anderson, died at 4 p.m. Dec. 16, 2003 at Community Hospital in Anderson. He was born Aug.

26, 1955 in Wise the son of James and Helen (Rose) Phipps. He served in the U.S. Army. He is survived by his siblings, Jim Phipps, Louisianna, Doug Phipps, Anderson, Bob Phipps, Galveston, Roger Phipps, Elwood, and Jamie Rush, Elwood. One sister and two brothers preceded him in death.

Gravesides rites will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at Fairview Cemetery. Porter Funeral Home in Tipton handled the arrangements. He died March 1, 1978. She worked at Sherrill Restaurant for 30 years, retiring in December 1999. She enjoyed her family and grandchildren, as well as other friends and family members, visiting, playing cards, and just sitting around talking. She was a past member of Oak Forest Baptist Church in Scottsville, Ky. Survivors include her daughters, Juanita Zielinski and husband Jim of Rockledge, and Mary Lieber of Deerfield Beach, Fla; sons, R.

Jay Garmon and his wife Janie, Kenneth R. Garmon and his wife Angie, and Joe Garmon and wife Diana, all of Tipton; two sisters, Runnie Clarkston of Glasgow, and Ruby Coyley of Hopkinsville, 13 grandchildren, and 10 greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son-in-law Bud Lieber, five brothers, two sisters, and two great-grandchildren. Services will 11 a.m. Monday, at Young-Nichols Funeral Home, 216 W.

Born Sept. 20, 1920 in Wallingford, she was the daughter of Charles and Stella Hickerson. She had lived in Alexandria most of her lifetime. She was a member of the Vermillion Christian Church and the Ladies Aid of church, and a member of the Gilman Home Extension Club. She is survived by two daughters, Vickie J.

Murray of Meeker, and Connie Mazzola, Highland Village, Texas; three sisters, Violet Whitesel of Boston, Betty Hester New Castle, and Shirley Rutherford of Indianapolis; five grandchildren, four greatgrandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Vance Lee Myers in 1985; a son, Daniel Myers; a brother, Morris Hickerson; and a sister, Ruth Stephens.
