Elwood. has graduated at Lackland AFB, from the S. Air Force technical training course for' security police specialists. Airman Holmes, now trained in security and law enforcement, is being assigned to McConneU AFB. for duty with a unit of Strategic Air Command.

Completion of the course earned the individual credits towards an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force. The airman is a 1977 graduate of Elwood Community High School. 5'- tmmmt I IW 11 -j ELWOODPOUCE Ricaido Haime Ramerez, 28. Texas and Antonio Lopez, 33. Florida, were arrested at the Elwood Gty Pool Monday at 5:25 p.m.

Both were charged with public intoxication. The arrests were made when the police responded to a report of a reckless driver at the pool at Police received a report Monday at 10:10 p.m. of a sleeping bag stolen from a bus camper owned by Dale Davis. The vehicle was parked at 2019 N. A when the theft occurred.

The vehicle was also vandalized with a B-B gun shots. The home of Ernest Ellison, 101 S. 10th was discovered broken into Monday at 9:54 p.m. Entry was gained through a bedroom window and a 10-inch portable TV set was reported missing from the living room. Police were alerted to the break-in of an automobile owned by Paul Alexander, 1820 S.J Monday at 9:43 p.m.

Arriving on the scene police saw a subject run from the vehicle, officers chased the subject down an alley before he escaped them. A radiator hose was stolen from the vehicle. Teddy Bennett, 1812 N. reported a green three-speed bike stolen Monday at 12:37 a.m. Paulene Stevenson, Mid-Town Trailer Court, reported the theft of two antennas Mondayat 12:04 p.m.

Charlene Ponder, 1210 S. reported the theft of a remote control transmitter Monday at 9:30 p.m. The transmitter was stolen from 2403 S.J St. MADISON COUNTY Sabino Diaz, 1344 S. was involved in a one-car property damage accident Sunday evening at County Road 1050N and Country Club Road.

Jackson, 26, of Rt. 1, Box 248, Elwood, no Diaz was reportedly traveling east on County Road 1050N when he attempted to pass a car and was forced off the north tide of the road. The Diaz car then came back on the road, left the south side and struck a tree. Diaz was unhurt, but his car sustained approximately $1,500 damage. Other sources indicate that the Diaz vehicle also struck a utility pole in the area causing an electrical outage to one home.

Stephens was awarded the bike donated by State Plating for the member signing up the most new men. The total of about 15 men recruited in the July membership drive brings club membership up to about 45. The Jaycees are active in the community and are presently planning a Haunted House for Halloween with the Willkie Committee and will serve and clean up at the dinners for the football team this fall. She is survived by: two sons, Joe of Tipton and Jack of Kokomo; five daughters, Miss Chatty Sullivan, Mrs. Millard (Lorine) Neal, Mrs. Dewroy (Ruby) Neal and Mrs. Jim Kathyrn) Heard, all of Tipton and Mrs. Linzie (Loree) Clark of Tennessee; one sister, Mrs.

Lillie Spear also of Tennessee, 20 grandchildren, and 21 greatgrandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday morning at the Leatherman-Morris Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Wednesday.

will present program Elwood Community High School students will be treated to an innovative assembly program on energy Friday. Sept. 23. The presentation, which is sponsored by Indiana Michigan Electric Company, is entitled "Energy Today and Tomorrow." The energy program will come to Elwood following showings earlier in the week at Anderson, Frankton and Alexandria-Monroe High Schools. The live educational program is designed to help students come to grips with the bewildering energy situation.

They will be exposed to various fuels and methods of producing electricity; future energy alternatives; and ways to conserve energy! A considerable amount of demonstration equipment will be used to highlight the program in an interesting and entertaining way. Tony Whisenant, the teacher-demonstrator who will make the presentation, has recently completed extensive training at Oak Ridge Associated Universities in Oak Ridge, where the program was developed. He has a bachelor's degree from Georgia State College and a master's degree from Murray State University. She was born in Tipton Feb. 9, 1921 the daughter of Earl Liston and Pauline Parnell Cochran. She had lived in Tipton all her life and was employed at the Compton Hardware. She was also a member of the First Baptist Church. Survivors include her mother, Mrs.

Pauline Cochran; a sister, Mrs. Maxine Martin of Illinois; five brothers, Richard of Alaska, William and Keith of California, Jerry of Texas, and Charles of Tipton. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Leatherman-Morris Funeral Home with Rev. Samuel Martin officiating.
