King Daughters Holds Round-Up Party Monday King's Daughters class of East Main Street Christian church opened its fall and winter activities with a round-up party held Monday night at the church.

Preceding the party, a business session was held in the main auditorium with Mrs. Garland Blair In charge. Plans were made for the class to act as a refreshment committee each Sunday evening for the Christian Youth Fellow ut the home of Mrs. Merwin Hubley, with Mrs. Kenneth Coulson, president in charge.

A carry -1 dinner was served at noon to honor Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Benefiel who celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Sun-flay.

A dinner was served at the noon hour to 36 present. The class has a number quilts in the frames and work to be done to prepare materials for the rugs the class has woven to sell. Mrs. Freda Parker, president, wishes all to attend the meeting on the fourth Wednesday of the month. Plans are underway for the annual Christmas Bazaar.

WINDFALL Word was received by Frank Null, grandfather of Max Richard Price that Max, who is 19 years old and Is serving In the Navy, had been in an accident on the ship and his right hand had been amputated. He is in a Navy hospital at Philadelphia and is recoveri nicely. He is the son of Mrs. Elizabeth (Null) Morrow of Miami Florida. WINDFALL Money donations are being taken at the Roy Conway store in Leisure for the family of George Ellis, whose bouse was burned and the baby died In the burning house.

A report on tne open house and shower to be held at the Christian Women's Welfare Union was made by Mrs. Blair. A rummage sale was planned to be held Oct. 24 at the cfiurch basement. It will be held in the afternoon and evening.

After the business, the group were invited into the church dining room, which had been artiste-ally decorated with fodder, pumpkins in keeping with Halloween, A western type program was presented. Group singing led by Mrs. Lucille Yarllng with Mrs. Mildred Tranbarger, accompanist was held. Miss Cathy and Miss Carol Yarllng accompanied by their grandmother, Mrs.

Lucille Yarllng sang several numbers. Miss Emma Benedict gave a reading. Refreshments were served from a table decorated with the Horn of Plenty. Next meeting will be held Nov. 10.

Friendly Sunshine Club Meets Monday; Holds Shower FrTendly Sunshine club held its regular meeting Monday evening at the Indiana and Michigan Electric company with Mrs. Elsie Hicks and iTrs. Berniece Hicks, hostesses. Evening was spent socially and during the meeting, a pink and blue shower was held for Mrs. Don Fosler.

Games were played and the favors won by Mrs. Effie Willey and Mrs.Earlene Cole. Refreshments were served to twelve members and to Miss Marilyn Brook, Miss Thursa Hicks and Mrs. Jean Boyer, guests. Next meeting will be held Nov.
