Club Holds All Day Meet An all day meeting of Union Valley -Shiloh community club was held Wednesday at the home of Mrs. Orville Smith. A covered dish dinner was served at noon followed by a business session. Mrs. Dorothy Daunhauer, president, was in charge.

Devotions were given by Mrs. Julia Davis. Business session opened with the club song and prayer offered by Mrs. Joliff. Final plans were made for the trip to Mammoth Cave, June 4.

Fourteen members and Mrs. Ella Jarrett, a guest, attended. Next meeting will be held June 20 at the home of Mrs. Julia Davis. Teachers' Wives Club Is Entertained May meeting of Teachers' Wives club was Wednesday afternoon at the home of Mrs.

John Ward. Mrs. Ellis Horton was 'cohostess. A dessert canasta party was held, and a short business session conducted. Dessert was served from beautifully appointed tables to thirteen members.

Favors were awarded to Mrs. Harry Bridges, Mrs. Donald Krampe, Mrs. Keith Scott, Mrs. Forest Woods and Mrs.

Elwood, today announced the approaching marriage of their daughter, Miss Beverly Wayne Fisher to Thomas Michael son of Mrs. Anna Mary Magers, 1305 South A street, Elwood. The wedding will take place in the St. Mary's Catholic church, Anderson. Miss Fisher is a graduate of, the Wendell Willkie high school with the class of 1945.

She graduated from Ball State Teachers college, Muncie in 1949. While attending college she was a member of Elementary club, Girl's club and Pi Zeta sorority. Miss Fisher has been a teacher at the Longfellow school in Anderson the past two years. She is a member of American Association of University Women, Proscenium, Delta Theta Tau sorority, secretary of the A. C.

E. and treasurer of the Longfellow Parent Teacher association. eph's school and graduated deli from Mr. Magers attended JosWendell Willkie high school with the class of 1945. In January, Mr.

Magers received his degree in electrical engineering from Purdue university. He is now employed at Wright Field in Dayton, Ohio. Miss Laster, Herman Boyer To Be Married. Mr. and Mrs.

Robert Laster, 2727 South street, today announced the approaching marriage of their daughter, Mary Patricia Laster to Herman Loren Boyer, son. of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Boyer 2720 North street. The wedding will take place June 2 at 4 o'clock at the East Main Street Christian church.

Rev. Ross Webb and Rev. Paul Boyer will officiate at the double ring ceremony. A reception will follow the cere. mony and will be held in the church dining room.

Miss Laster will graduate from Wendell Willkie high school with the 1951 class. Mr. Boyer was graduated from Wendell Willkie high school with the class of 1949. He is a member of the active Naval Reserves and is employed at Delco Remy Division at Anderson. T.

Mrs. Johnson Speaks To Washington PTA Mrs Ruth Johnston, probation officer of Anderson, was guest speaker Wednesday evening at the final meeting of Washington Parent-Teacher association held at the school building. Mrs. Johnson gave a talk on "Juvenile She stressed the fact that the great need in Elwood is more recreational facilities for teen agers, and delinquents. She told the group that the delinquents she came in contact with from Elwood, remarked "there is nothing to do in Elwood." Her talk was most interesting and instructive.

Installs Officers At Regular Meet Installation of officers featured the monthly meeting and spring party of National Council of Catholic Women held Wednesday evening in the banquet hall of the church.

Sacred Heart Study club was host for the party. Mrs. R. M. Pilkington, past parish chairman, acted as installing officers.

New officers are chair, man, Mrs. John Orth; vice chairman, Mrs. David secretary, Mrs. Jerry Kiefer and treasurer, Mrs. Louis Linsmeyer.

At the next meeting June 20, Mrs. Orth will appoint her committee chairmen. Plans were made to attend the diocesan convention to be held May 23, at St. Patrick's church, Kokomo. A bus will leave Elwood from in front of St.

Joseph's church at 8:30 o'clock. A report was given on the provincial meeting held recently in Indianapolis by Mrs. L. Williams. Mrs.

R. M. Pilkington led a discussion on the rights and duties of a citizen. After the business and installation, refreshments were served from an artistically decorated table laid with a white linen cloth. Bouquets of lilies of the valley and violets adorned the table.

Group voted to district meeting to be held Sunday May 20 in Frankfort instead of going to- Marion hospital as formerly planned. Buddy poppies will be sold Friday evening, May 25 and all day Saturday, May 26. The group planned to participate in the Memorial Day parade. Plans for the Encampment to be held June 21 to June 24 at Indlanapolis will be made at the next meeting June 6 at the home of Mrs. Mildred Hutcherson.

Time of the meeting is 7:30 o'clock. MAKE and I Circle Meets At Barnes' and I Circle of First Methodist church met Tuesday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Ray Barnes, 1611 North street. President Carrie Starkey presided over the business. Devotions were given by Mrs.

George Hettmansperger. During the business, it was decided to participate in the dinner to be held in the church June 5 as a welcome to all new members. A carry-in dinner will be served at 6:30 o'clock. The lesson on "My Church" was given by Mrs. L.
